Raspberry Pi Night Vision Camera Module for Model A+/B/B+/2 is a camera module designed for Raspberry Pi platform. The best property of the module is it’s being able to automatically switch to night vision mode. The variable resistor on the board can be set as light intensity lower limit and when the light intensity becomes lower than the determined value, the IR LED module of the camera automatically switches on to provide night vision.
Raspberry Pi Night Vision Camera Module for Model A+/B/B+/2 can be used in environments where the light intensity changes frequently to safely and easily gather data with the camera. Besides these the camera power consumption is pretty low.
The camera and the IR LED module ships unassembled, but assembling the module is pretty easy. To assemble the module, you simply mount the camera on the board which has the IR LEDs with screws.
After the assembly is completed, you can adjust the desired light intensity setting using the variable resistor on the board.
Note: It is recommended to use the IR LEDs with a heat sink. Otherwise they cause the Raspberry Pi to overheat.
