MicroSD Card Breakout Board+ info

MicroSD Card Breakout Board+ is not just a simple breakout board, this microSD adapter goes the extra mile - designed for ease of use. The board has an onboard 5V->3V regulator which provides 150mA for power demanding SD cards. 3V level shifting means that you can use this board with 3V or 5V systems easily. Also the level shifting is done properly, not with resistors so there are less problems and faster read/write access.

By using MicroSD Card Breakout Board+, you can write 2Gb+ of storage with the use of 3 or 4 pins. To make mounting easier the board has four #2 mounting holes and the push-push socket of the SD Card is slightly over the edge of the PCB and therefore it is easier to insert and remove the SD Card. The board comes with 0.1’’ header, so you can use it with a breadboard.

The board works great with Arduino or Arduino-like microcontrollers. There are lots of libraries, wiring diagrams and examples to use the board with an Arduino.

To use MicroSD Card Breakout Board+ with an Arduino, connect GND to ground, 5V to 5V, CLK to pin 13, DO to pin 12, DI to pin 11, and CS to pin 10. Then you can use the Arduino IDE's SD library which supports FAT and FAT32 SD cards. For details on getting started, check out Adafruit’s detailed tutorial discussing microSD cards, wiring and how to use this breakout board with an Arduino.
