The Arduino USB Host Shield is a card that provides the Arduino card with USB interface features and allows you to plug various USB devices into the Arduino.

Thanks to Shield, you can connect keyboard or mouse to Arduino, make wireless communication, read barcode and even connect your phone with bluetooth dongle. On board the MAX3421E is used as an integrated USB host / SPI converter. It is compatible with Arduino Uno and Mega and can be used with 3.3V cards with the choice of 5V / 3.3V.
