The MPR121 IC is a great way to create simple capacitive touch interfaces and is now easier to incorporate into Arduino projects with touch screen.
The touch shields have 9 electrode contact heads as well as 9 capacitive touch pads. You can have a total of 12 touch knot with these shields.
An on-board logic level converter allows you to work with 5V and 3.3V Arduino cards. You can simply solder some of the header pins and plug it onto the Arduino to create a suitable input device. See the code examples below before you begin.
