Arduino Motor Shield; L298 is a full-bridge motor driver based on a motor drive integration. It can drive two separate 2A DC motors or one 2A stepper motor. You can control the speed and direction of the motors independently of each other. There are also 6 connectors on the card that are connected to Arduino analog pins for rapid prototyping. The buzzer on the card can be used to signal the desired situation.
Important Note: Stackable headers that are shipped inside the product must be installed on the driver card so that the motor terminal on the drive and the Arduino Usb socket are not short-circuited. In this way the driver card will be upgraded to prevent short circuit.
Technicial Specifications:
In and Out:
The motor has two independent conduits named shield A and B. Each of these channels is controlled by 2 arduino pines. A total of 4 pins are used by the shield. These channels can be driven separately using 2 separate DC motors or 1 unipolar or bipolar stepper motor.
Shield pin usage chart:
Function Channel A Pin Channel B Pin
Direction D12 D13
PWM D10 D11
Buzzer D4 D4
Motor Connections:
You can use 2 brush DC motors by connecting them to the Motor A and Motor B terminals on the card. In this way, you can control the speed of the motors by changing the direction of the motors, the PWM A and PWM B fill ratios by making the DIR A and DIR B pins HIGH or LOW.
